Teenager survived motorcycle accident – ROCKET HEMS attended the call

Hein Champion (16) nearly lost his life in a serious motorcycle accident on 5 February, 2021.

ROCKET HEMS was called out to the scene, where Champion was first stabilised before being flown to Bloemfontein. The accident happened in Schweizer-Reneke and the video shows some of the footage of Champion directly after the accident.

Michael Dollenberg and Chris Steward were the paramedics on scene and Boeta Dippenaar was the pilot in command.

Monica Champion, his mother, says she remembers how her son had to be stabilised for an hour and a half under a Camel Thorn tree before he could be flown to hospital.
