ROCKET was activated for three inter-facility transfers over the past few days:
A 29-year-old male from Amersfoort, presenting with multiple trauma-related injuries, and was airlifted to Johannesburg.
A 49-year-old male patient from Kimberley, suffering from a severe cardiac condition, required ongoing advanced cardiac life support en route to a specialized facility in Johannesburg for further evaluation.
A 41-year-old male patient from Kathu who had been involved in a motor vehicle accident and presented with a traumatic brain injury. Before airlifting him to a specialised facility in Kimberley for further intensive care, advanced life support was initiated, including advanced airway management.
ROCKET MISSIONS ACROSS SOUTH AFRICA SAVE LIVES
ROCKET 1 was activated on a primary mission for a male patient in the Bultfontein area, presenting with a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. The patient was stabilised on scene and airlifted to a facility in Bloemfontein for further treatment and care.
