During the weekend, Rocket helicopters flew from Kimberley to Upington and from Johannesburg to Sasolburg and Naledi-Nkanyezi Private. It is this extended range of our Bell 222 & 230 twin engine helicopters that makes them so intrinsically valuable to our operations.
We activated these flights for a 27-year-old male injured in a gas explosion whilst on duty, a 67-year-old man with an abdominal aneurysm, a 37-year-old female with a complicated pregnancy for an emergency c-section, and a 43-year-old who suffered a stroke and heart attack. The patients were airlifted to facilities that are specialized in treating these conditions.
