This month, our Kimberly team updated their ACLS course with on-the-job simulation training. ACLS is an internationally accredited resuscitation program which maintains healthcare providers in the field of emergency medicine up to date with the most advanced resuscitation knowledge.
We cover the fundamentals of CPR, defibrillation, and medication administration, then move on to some complicated and exciting cases that are specific to the Air Ambulance sector. Rapid repetition and intentional practice of the techniques and tactics in emergency medicine are crucial to guarantee fast action regardless of the patient's condition.
We are proud to give this training to our teams in their own environments, with the support of AIEM (Africa Institute of Emergency Medicine), which provides access to apparatus and manikins to upgrade our teams across the country.
