At Rocket it is always an emotional and rewarding moment when we have a visit from someone whom Rocket assisted in their time of need. Heinrich de Jager’s visit to us on Monday, 6th June, was one such touching moment for us. He met up again with treating doctor, Dr Faheem Meer and our call centre specialist dispatcher, Corne Bothma, who went the extra mile to obtain authorisation for the aeromedical activation, piloted by Abie Bezuidenhoudt.
After incurring severe head injuries in an accident on the Senekal road on the 14th April, Rocket transported him to a specialised trauma facility in Johannesburg. He spent 26 days in ICU and 32 days in hospital recovering. Boeta Dippenaar, Group CEO of Henley Air, and Hendrik Louw, Rocket CEO, welcomed him on Monday and spent time showing him around our Rocket operations and introducing him to the team.
