HOW ROCKET EMS CHOOSES THE HOSPITAL TO TRANSPORT A PATIENT TO

How does our ROCKET EMS Emergency Management Centre team decide which hospital to fly a patient to?

Prioritising Clinical Condition in Emergency Hospital Selection

For primary emergency missions, the patient’s clinical condition is the most important factor in deciding which hospital is best suited for their care.

Our goal is always to transport patients to the closest appropriate hospital — which does not always mean the geographically nearest hospital. The chosen facility must have the right specialists, equipment, facilities, and available beds to provide the best possible care.

For example:

🫀 A patient experiencing a heart attack may require a hospital with a cardiologist, cardiac ICU, and catheterisation lab.

🩺 A critically injured trauma patient may need a trauma centre with trauma surgeons, a trauma ICU, and a multidisciplinary specialist team.

Precision in Medical Destination Decisions at ROCKET HEMS

At ROCKET HEMS, every medical destination decision is carefully made to ensure patients receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time.
